You might not be a Super star, but don't give up on your Naples home just yet. Film or TV shoots have caused some homeowners to vacate their home for days, even weeks. Production companies are willing to shell out big money for the use of the ideal home.

For some, the money, and the glamour is worth it. For others, the thought of a repair person comming into their home causes worry. A hundred crewmembers are too much, even for fame. Still, it would be fun to see your Naples home on the big screen.

The correct lighting in any Naples home will make a huge difference. An entire space will be illuminated, a particular architectural piece will attract attention, or the atmosphere of a room can be altered by lighting. When installing brand new lighting, there are many details to think about. Using a standard style is essential. An older house will probably look better with a period crystal chandelier than with radiant tract lighting. Different things will be achieved through different types of lighting. A granite countertop can now be highlighted by installing lights in under cabinets.

Be sure you take a look at every room at night, without any natural light, to get an idea for the type of lighting that fits the best. A sconce is a great way to add a romantic, elegant, touch to any wall. Always cover the bulb, nothing is more unsightly than an exposed light bulb. Each light really should have an individual switch and do not forget a dimmer. By keeping these handy hints in mind, your Naples home will be exquisitely lit.

Has fixing up an old Naples home ever been your dream? Before you buy that potential jewel, take a legnthy look at the "bones" of the house.

It isn't difficult to replace a couple of shingles. It's a very different, and more expensive story, to fix the roof's entire structure. Similarly, repairing a leaky basement is simple. It will be a huge project to put in a new foundation. Replacing pipes, wiring, and toxic building materials should be taken into account also.

Only move ahead if you have carefully examined the entire home and really believe that your checkbook, and more importantly, your sanity, is ready for the task.

Naples real estate is seeing a new trend. Young singles, particularly women, are among the majority of new homeowners. In fact, between 2001 and 2005 there was a 6 percent rise in female homeowners.

Affordability, a closeness to entertainment, and safe neighborhoods are what the majority of young singles are looking for. Much more of the buying market is made up of recent immigrants and minorities. Some are buying condos to build equity so that one day, they can afford a larger home. Finally, retirees and empty-nesters are downsizing and head towards like-minded communities. They want to live in smaller homes, nearby friends and entertainment.

You have got to do some careful planning prior to installing an upstairs laundry room in your Naples home . If the job is executed incorrectly, you could face water damage or structural headaches.

To ensure that your home will reinforcement the extra weight and vibrations from a washer and dryer, it is wise to hire an architect and perhaps even a structural engineer. To stop water damage by flooding, you have got to put in a floor drain and electronic shutoff valve, which will consequently stop the flow of water in case of a leak.

Installing a dedicated electric and gas line will be the priciest part of the job. Finally, do your homework to find the most energy efficient and quiet appliances. You can safely add upstairs laundry and increase the worth of your Naples home by following these simple steps.
